Areas of Legal Practice

Partnership Disputes

When serious disputes arise between business partners and co-owners, the effects can be devastating. Resolve a partnership dispute with little disruption.

Breach of Contract

In the event of a breach, the non-breaching party is entitled to certain compensation. Have a knowledgeable attorney by your side to enforce the terms of the contract.

Corporate Entity Creation

Unforeseen hurdles threaten the success of many fledgling start-ups. Consult an attorney to ensure you're following the right steps to incorporating.

Closing/Winding Up a Corporation

Like creating a corporation, closing one requires work. Debts must be settled, tax obligations must be met, and assets and liabilities are then divided. We can help.

Non-Competition Issues

Whether you're a business looking to craft and enforce a non-compete document or an employee who feels the terms of their non-compete is unfair, an attorney can help.

Appellate Litigation

In the event that you need to exercise your right to appeal, we can provide a strategy, prepare the briefs, file a motion for a new trial and present the best argument for you.

Intellectual Property Litigation

You need an attorney that understands the competitive and financial threats posed by intellectual property infringement and how it can happen.

Purchase and Sale Agreements

Purchase and sale contracts can be complicated. The untrained eye may not catch troublesome pitfalls, like liens and title defects, but we will.

Securities Litigation

Private shareholder litigation has increased. We've seen a stream of lawsuits with higher settlement amounts and this trend is not likely to change anytime soon.

Investor and Shareholder Issues

Some shareholders can create trouble for a company, and some companies cause a lot of problems for shareholders. Contact our Mesa & Pepin to sort out these issues.

Landlord-Tenant Disputes

If you are a landlord or a tenant and who cannot resolve your differences, you may need to go to court. Be confident you have carried out the necessary steps to win.
